Public Camera Registry
If you would like to assist in Criminal Investigations, feel free to use the link to the left to be able to register your home security system with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. Please note that registering your home security system does not give the Sheriff's Office access to your security system or the feed as a result. This option simply lets the Sheriff's Office know that you are willing to assist with providing your security footage for crimes happening in your area!
Federal Background Checks
By visiting the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office during normal business hours, you can request a background check be completed on yourself for $7.00 for employment reasons, licensing requirements, etc. To pick these background checks up, simply stop by the Sheriff's Office during normal business hours.

Crash Reports
Upon completion of an incident report, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office provides the ability for citizens involved in the auto crash to fill out a request form for information. The release of information is $7.00 if you request a crash report through the Sheriff's Office during business hours. Alternatively, you can request a crash report online through the link to the left, though this will cost in the range of $10 - $12 instead.

Anonymous Medication Drop-off
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office offers an anonymous method to disposing of unwanted or unused prescription medications. We; however, DO NOT accept or allow syringes or needles to be dropped off in the container to the left. This container can be found in the public, 24-7 lobby within the Sheriff's Office.

NOTE: If you arrive to drop-off medications and the door is locked, hit the Push-to-Talk button to your left and a Deputy will get in contact with you. If for whatever reason you are not allowed entry, please remember that there is a reason for this. We will allow you entry as soon as possible!
SRI Incorporated
Sheriff's property sales are held on the second Tuesday of every month excluding December. These auctions are held sharply at 10:00AM and are managed by SRI Incorporated.

To have your fingerprints done for a handgun permit, real estate license, medical licensing, etc.; please call Dell Wilson on our business line (see bottom of page for number) to schedule an appointment. Dell operates during normal business hours that can be viewed by clicking here and looking at the top of the page!

Sheriff Case Reports
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office allows all involved parties in a case to request a copy of the completed case report for any reason. Under the Indiana Access to Public Records Act 5-17-3-1 et seq., copies of public records may be requested. The Indiana Access to Public Records Act requires a response time within seven business days. If access to the records will take longer than seven days, information about when you might expect copies or the ability to inspect the requested records will be provided.
